§ Mr. Prescottasked the Minister of Town and Country Planning if he is aware of the proposal to allocate part of the Padiham Heights, near Sabden, for industry; whether his Department was consulted on this matter; if he is aware of the wide feeling which exists against such a proposal; and what steps he will take in the matter.
§ Mr. SilkinI understand that a proposal to erect a lime-crushing plant on Padiham Heights was considered by the County Planning Committee on 13th August and 10th September and that a notice of refusal of permission was sent to the applicants on 23rd September. In the circumstances I do not think any further action is necessary.
