§ 114. Mr. Fernyhoughasked the Minister of Works what progress has been made in the building of the Remploy Factory at Jarrow; and can he give a provisional date as to when the factory is likely to be completed.
§ Mr. KeyA site has been selected on land owned by the Board of Trade and leased to the North East Trading Estates, Ltd. The Company will build the factory and let it to the Disabled Persons Employment Corporation. Work is expected to start next month and the factory will, it is hoped, be ready for occupation in about 12 months.
