§ 96. Mr. E. Evansasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is satisfied that the supply of clothing, boots, Wellingtons and other commodities necessary for agricultural workers is adequate in Beccles, Bungay and north Suffolk; whether he will cause an inquiry to be made into cases of alleged shortages brought to his notice; and if he will ensure a more equitable distribution of these goods.
§ Mr. BottomleyI have no information which suggests that there is inequitable distribution of the goods which my hon. Friend mentions or that supplies in the districts he mentions fall below those to the country generally; but I have asked for an inquiry and will write to my hon. Friend when it is complete.
