Colonel Ropnerasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that there is a shortage of cigarettes in the villages of Healaugh and Newton Kyme in the West Riding of Yorkshire; and whether he can give an assurance that these two villages and neighbouring villages will receive a fair proportion of available supplies.
§ Mr. BottomleyThe distribution of cigarettes is not controlled by the Government, but I am making inquiries with a view to ensuring that the particular villages mentioned by the hon. and gallant Member receive their fair share of available supplies.
