§ Mr. Astorasked the Minister of Agriculture how many horses were exported from this country for slaughter abroad in the last 12 months.
§ Mr. G. BrownDuring the year ended 30th September last, 3,628 horses were shipped to Europe after being certified by veterinary inspectors as capable of being conveyed and disembarked without cruelty and of being worked without suffering. I have no information as to the purposes for which the horses were exported.
