§ LORD WALKDENUnder Section 3 of the Transport Act, 1947, the duty is imposed680WA on the British Transport Commission to pay due regard to safety of operation of the services for which they are responsible, and any measures which they consider necessary to this end are, therefore, primarily matters for their decision. I will see that the noble Lord's question is brought to the notice of the Commission.
