Mr. Elwyn Jonesasked the Minister of Works what action is proposed to end the restrictive practices disclosed in the report of Lord Simon of Wythenshawe's Committee of Inquiry into the organisation and distribution of building materials and components; and whether His Majesty's Government will implement the Committee's recommendation for immediate action by the Government to control distributors' margins on materials and components.
§ Mr. DurbinMy right hon. Friend is considering the Committee's report and is proposing to discuss it with representatives of the manufacturers and distributors in the near future.
