§ Dr. SummerskillRepresentations have reached my Department from various sources which urge that extra allowances of rationed food should be made available for elderly people. My right hon. Friend regrets, however, that he cannot see his way to grant such people extra rations since circumstances will vary very widely, and my Department has not the staff or resources to examine each individual case on its merits.
