§ Sir S. CrippsSome items of the Commission's work have now passed the peak. The heaviest item, however, has always been the examination and payment of cost of works claims, the present intake of which exceeds 10,000 a week and there is as yet no sign of any falling off in this work. The arrangement already reported to the House whereby the Commission's staff will also act as the staff of the Central Land Board assures the object suggested in the second part of the Question.
