§ Mr. StracheyExports of sweetened and unsweetened biscuits for human consumption during the six months September, 1947, to February, 1948, were 16 tons to Australia and 864 tons to markets of outstanding importance announced by my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade on 19th January, 1948, namely, Canada and Newfoundland, United States, Argentina and South Africa. The quantity of biscuits available for home consumption in the same period is estimated at 123 thousand tons.
