§ 62. Mr. Errollasked the Minister of Fuel and Power in view of the forthcoming shortage of fuel oil supplies revealed by the Economic Survey for 1948, he will postpone the erection of the oil fired power station at Bankside.
§ Mr. RobensNo. A power station will be required at Bankside, and oil burning plant has been decided upon in order to preserve the amenities in neighbouring areas on both sides of the river. No large quantities of fuel oil will be required for two to three years, by which time it is hoped the oil position will be easier.
