§ 57. Mr. Longdenasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in view of the decision made by the Hercules Cycle Company of Birmingham, to reduce the costs on the finer grades of cycles for export, he can give the extent of such response to his appeal throughout the country to date.
§ Mr. Glenvil HallMy right hon. Friend is not in a position to add anything at present to the proposals which he has received and which have been published in the last few days in the Press. I would point out that he has made no appeal for a general reduction in export prices, but has only invited attention to the danger that our export prices might make it difficult to sell abroad.
