HC Deb 09 March 1948 vol 448 cc132-3W
61. Mr. Fairhurst

asked the Minister of Supply if he is satisfied that the British textile machinery makers are capable of manufacturing all the machinery required by the cotton and woollen industry in the next five years.

Mr. J. Jones

It is not possible at present to say what textile machinery will be required in the next five years. In the meantime, everything possible is being done to improve the output of the machinery makers.
