Patonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will give for the year 1947, for England and Wales, the names and ages of all persons condemned to death for murder; the names, dates and prisons of execution of all persons executed for murder; and the names of those reprieved.
§ Mr. EdeTwenty-seven persons were condemned to death on conviction of murder in England and Wales in 1947. Eleven were executed and sixteen (including three persons certified as insane after conviction) were reprieved. I am sending my hon. Friend the other particulars for which he asks.
