asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware that British inventors are keeping their discoveries secret or selling them to foreign countries because of the heavy toll taken by the Treasury; and, in view of the necessity for exports, if he will consider this matter when framing his Budget.

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given by my right hon. Friend the Financial Secretary to the Treasury to his Question on this matter on with December last.
