HC Deb 04 March 1948 vol 448 c90W
95. Sir S. Holmes

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty why the claim of the Come Fishery Company in respect of damage to the oyster fishery caused by the explosion of mines in the River Colne during the war has not yet been settled.

Mr. W. Edwards

This claim has involved difficult problems of law and valuation which have been responsible for the delay in negotiating with the fishery company. The Admiralty expect, however, to be in a position to make an approach to the company during the present month, when it is hoped that a satisfactory outcome of the matter will be possible.
