§ 67. Mr. Footasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether he will make a statement on the proposed new terms of establishment in His Majesty's Royal Dockyards.
§ Mr. W. EdwardsFollowing a recent agreement reached on the Joint Coordinating Committee for Government Industrial Establishments, the number of established posts available for Admiralty industrial workers has been increased from something under 10,000 to 30,000. In addition the practice of making deductions from pay on establishment has now ceased. The detailed application of the agreement, including in particular its application to dockyard workers, has still to be discussed on the Admiralty Industrial Council, and I cannot therefore say more than this today.
