§ Mr. Wilkesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what representations he has made to the Governments of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Transjordan and Iraq that the arms recently supplied to those Governments through British Military Missions attached thereto will not be used in actions designed to obstruct by force the U.N.O. decision on Palestine: and what replies he has received.
Mr. McNeilThere is no British Military Mission in either Egypt or Transjordan. No arms have recently been supplied to the Government of Saudi Arabia. It has already been made clear that our commitments to supply military material to Egypt, Iraq and Transjordan will be reconsidered if it should appear that this material is being diverted to Palestine.
