§ Mr. Lawasked the Minister of Works if he is aware of the shortage of chairs in Kensington Gardens during last summer; and if he will take steps to improve the position during the coming season.
§ Mr. KeyYes. The chair contractors have done their best to maintain an adequate supply of chairs in good condition, but they have had to contend with a shortage of chairs and of timber and canvas for repairs, and also with wilful damage done by a small section of the public. I am doing everything possible to help the contractors and I should like to appeal for the co-operation of the public in preventing further damage.
