§ 96. Mr. Warbeyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what reports he has received from the British Military Mission in Greece regarding the welfare of the two former Greek resistance leaders, General Sarafiz and Captain Venetzanopoulos, now detained on the Island of Makronisi.
Mr. McNeilThe British Military Mission to Greece made no report about any particular individuals detained on Makronisi Island. My information is, however, that General Sarafis, who is no longer a serving officer, is detained in a civilian camp on that Island; and that Captain Venetzanopoulos was banished to the island of Seriphos.
