§ 8. Mr. K. Lindsayasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps have been taken to carry out the implications of Article III of the Brussels Treaty, relating to cultural co-operation between the contracting countries.
§ Mr. BevinThe implications of Article III of the Treaty of Brussels have been discussed by the Permanent Commission of the Five Powers which sits in London and it was agreed at its meeting on 5th May that each of the five Governments should submit a memorandum on the subject. A memorandum setting forth the views and proposals of His Majesty's Government has been prepared and will be submitted to the Permanent Commission at the earliest convenient opportunity.
