§ Mr. Ness EdwardsThe estimated cost of recruitment, transportation and maintenance of European Volunteer Workers, including some dependants, brought to this country up to the end of May, 1948, is £1,800,000. This figure excludes the cost of camp maintenance charges, etc., on the Continent as this cost is borne by the Preparatory Commission of the International Refugee Organisation.
