§ Lieut.-Colonel Liptonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs when the ordinance dealing with the restitution of property to victims of Nazi oppression will be promulgated in the British zone of Germany; and whether it will be in uniformity with the corresponding ordinance in the U.S. zone.
§ Mr. MayhewA draft ordinance on this subject has been prepared in Germany and is now under consideration in London. Every effort will be made to arrange for its promulgation in the near future. I am unable to say at present how closely its provisions will conform to those in the corresponding ordinance in the United States zone.
