Smithasked the Minister of Agriculture in how many cases a grant of pig and poultry rations has been made under the special scheme for severely disabled ex-Ser vice men jointly devised by his Department and the Ministry of Labour; how many of these grants have been made since the beginning of the current year, and how many grants since the scheme came into operation and in the current year, respectively, have been made in Essex.
§ Mr. G. BrownSince the inception of this scheme in July, 1945, rations have been allowed to 285 severely disabled ex-Service men, including 38 this year. The total of grants in Essex is nine, including three made this year.
