Graham-Littleasked the Minister of Health what assistance, in the absence of health centres, he is arranging to give practitioners in the new service in preparing full records demanded of public patients, as distinguished from private patients; to whom, other than the practitioner concerned, will these records be accessible; who will be responsible for their custody; what precautions will be taken to prevent disclosure of these confidential records to third persons; what will be the final destination of these records; and with whom will their legal ownership rest.
§ Mr. BevanThe medical records required for public patients are no more than most doctors would consider it necessary246W to keep for their private patients. The arrangements are substantially the same as they have been under the National Health Insurance Scheme.
