§ 45. Sir W. Smithersasked the Prime Minister if he will set up a Royal Commission on the lines of the Royal Commission set up by the Canadian Government on 5th February, 1946, known as the Canadian Spy Trial, to investigate Communist activities in Britain and publish its report.
§ The Prime MinisterI do not think that the appointment of a Royal Commission for this purpose is necessary.
