§ 83. Sir W. Smithersasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty how much prize money is now owing to members of the Senior Service; and when it will be paid.
§ Mr. W. EdwardsThe Prize Bill which it is hoped to bring before the House during this Session will contain proposals for declaring a fixed sum which will be available for disposal as droits of the Crown. I should like to take this further opportunity of repeating my warning that the amount available will be small. I regret that I cannot forecast the date on which it will be possible to begin payments.
§ Mr. G. Williamsasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if he can yet make any statement on the distribution of prize money.
§ Mr. W. EdwardsI have nothing to add to the replies given to my hon. Friend the Member for East Harrow (Mr. Skinnard) on 19th November last and to the hon. Member for Orpington (Sir W. Smithers) today.
