§ Mr. MayhewThere is no censorship of publications in Germany before their138W issue to the public. Copies of all books published in the British zone are submitted to the Control Commission for Germany (British Element) after publication, and appropriate action is taken against any undesirable book. The only English publication which has been withdrawn on the instruction of the Control Commission for Germany (British Element) is "In Downcast Germany" by Miss Joan Mary Fry.
