§ Mr. JayTrade negotiations with the Dominions, Colonies and foreign countries are in constant progress and it is not therefore possible to give a precise answer to the question. I anticipate that it will be necessary to export about 1,000,000 tons of steel in all during 1948, of which some will go to most countries in the world.
