§ Mr. BevanI have, so far, been informed by 43 of the 62 county councils in England and Wales, and 37 of the 75 county borough councils that they allow daily visits to their public assistance institutions, and by 38 county councils and 57 county borough councils that they permit residents to wear their own clothes. Some local authorities still have these matters under consideration.
