§ 86. Mr. Wilson Harrisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will now advise some remission of the sentences of penal servitude imposed on a number of members of the Irish Republican Army in 1939.
§ Mr. EdeThese cases are reviewed from time to time in accordance with the practice in the cases of all persons sentenced to long terms of penal servitude, and I shall not fail to take into account anything which tells in favour of advancing the date of an individual prisoner's release on licence.
