§ 82. Mr. A. R. W. Lowasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether a committee has yet been set up to consider proposals made by the Lord Chief Justice for alteration in the procedure of the taking of depositions in criminal cases; and whether he has yet received a report from this committee.
§ Mr. EdeI have decided to appoint a Committee to inquire into the existing practice with regard to the taking of depositions in criminal cases and I hope very shortly to be in a position to announce its membership and terms of reference.
