§ Mr. Hollisasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that the Dutch paper controller has suspended exports to this country of strawboards; that as a result English binders will be unable to execute their orders and great dislocation will be caused in the book trade; and whether he will arrange for a more liberal home supply of straw-boards.
§ Mr. H. WilsonI understand that exports of Dutch strawboard have not been suspended although they have been severely curtailed owing to the shortage of straw in Holland. The Paper Control is however prepared to license home produced board in substitution for Dutch strawboard.
