§ Sir S. Reedasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether steps will be taken to expedite the holding of inquests in the hot weather, and to provide adequate mortuary accommodation at Hillingdon, so as to prevent the distressing circumstances which followed the fatal accident to Miss Marjorie Florence Woodman on 6th August.
§ Mr. EdeI cannot find that the circumstances of this case, where there appears to have been no avoidable delay in holding the inquest, disclose any grounds for issuing a general exhortation to coroners in the sense suggested. My right hon. Friend the Minister of Health is in communication with the local council regarding the mortuary accommodation at Hillingdon.
