HC Deb 20 January 1948 vol 446 c1W
26. Mr. Gilzean

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will give financial assistance to the Edinburgh Marriage Guidance Council, whose work is endangered by lack of funds.

Mr. Woodburn

I have been in touch with the Council and I am satisfied that they require immediate aid if they are to continue their useful work during the current financial year. I propose, therefore, to ask Parliament to approve a Supplementary Estimate in order to enable a grant of £200 to be made to the Council this year.
