§ Sir E. Graham-Littleasked the Minister of Pensions if he is aware that the rates of remuneration of the specialist medical officers employed by his Department are much below those fixed by the B.M.A. as a minimum and accepted by most hospitals and whether he will raise these rates.
§ Mr. BuchananThe rates of remuneration of specialists employed by my Department on a part-time basis for hospital work are in general accord with the rates agreed by the British Medical Association with appropriate authorities. The rates payable to specialists and consultants for sessional Medical Board work are at present the subject of discussion between my Department and the B.M.A.
