§ 109. Mr. Mikardoasked the Minister of Supply what sums are owing to the national Exchequer by Miles Aircraft Limited; and what action he is taking about them.
§ Mr. J. JonesThe firm owes the Ministry of Supply £170,000 in respect of rent and materials, but it is estimated that a similar amount is due to them in payment of contracts. I understand from the firm that there is, in addition, a claim from the Inland Revenue, but the exact amount due is under discussion between the present management and the Commissioners. As my hon. Friend was informed yesterday, the management is preparing a scheme and this will include proposals for the settlement of debts.
