§ Mr. Pagetasked the Secretary of State for War why the claim made by Major Marriott for loss of personal equipment as a result of terrorist bombing at the Goldsmith Club, Palestine, on 1st March, 1947, has not yet been dealt with.
§ Mr. ShinwellOn 26th November last authority was given to the Commander-in-Chief, Middle East, to credit Major Marriott's account with the sum of £55 9s.274W in settlement of his claim. I assume that this has been done but I am taking steps to ensure that the sum has been credited to the officer's account.
