§ Mr. JayAs the Economic Survey for 1948 which will be published shortly will make clear, the difficulties and uncertainties of our immediate future are such that our planning must be as flexible as possible. It is not proposed, therefore, to publish any single comprehensive long-term plan at this stage and the second part of the question does not arise. It 251W is, of course, the policy of His Majesty's Government to discuss all questions of this kind with the representatives of industry.
