§ Mr. GaitskellI am aware that the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company have recently been pumping oil back into their wells. As I explained in reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Preston on 20th November, this is not due to lack of markets but to the present serious deficiency in tanker tonnage. With regard to the second part of the question, the net production of crude oil by the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company in 1947 was approximately twenty million tons.
