Mr. FreemanA Ministry of Supply Disposals Mission, with headquarters in Cairo and a branch office in Jerusalem, has been disposing of surplus stores and equipment in the Middle East for nearly three years. Both the Ministry of Supply and the War Office, who are responsible for the disposal of Service fixed assets, have made special arrangements to deal with the greatly increased amount of property now to be disposed of in Palestine and my right hon. Friend is satisfied that everything possible is being done to safeguard the interests of the British taxpayer.
