124. Mr. Teeingasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what action His Majesty's Government propose to take in consequence of the refusal of the Soviet Representative on the Far Eastern Commission in Washington to allow Pakistan to be admitted as a member of the Commission.
Mr. McNeilThe hon. Member may have in mind a Press report that the Soviet Representative on the Far Eastern Commission had adopted the attitude to which he refers. To the best of my knowledge there is no foundation whatsoever for this report and the Chairman of the Commission issued a formal statement to that effect on 30th January.
