§ Mr. TomlinsonComplete information as to the number of temporary teachers employed in the schools is not yet available for any date more recent than March, 1946. As to candidates awaiting admission to emergency training colleges who were engaged as temporary teachers, a provisional return for January, 1948, comparable with that given to the hon. Member on 17th February, 1947, shows the numbers in this particular category on that date as follows:
