asked the Minister of Food when the hon. Member for Uxbridge can expect a reply to his letter of 30th October, 1947, asking for the separate consideration of the South Ruislip area for Food Control purposes.

I apologise for the delay in the reply which has now been sent to the hon. Member. Our investigation has taken some time but my right hon. Friend is now satisfied that the special circumstances justify an additional retail and manufacturing licence for flour confectionery at South Ruislip.
