Wing-Commander Hulbertasked the Minister of Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that medical consultants and specialists, at a meeting at the headquarters of the British Medical Association on 27th January, rejected his proposals for a National Health Service by 766 votes to 11; and what action he proposes to take to make the scheme acceptable to the medical profession.
§ Mr. BevanYes. I think that it professional men and women were allowed, at these organised meetings of this kind, a little enlightenment as to the true facts of the new scheme, they would certainly find it acceptable to them.
