HC Deb 04 February 1948 vol 446 c292W
104. Mr. Teeling

asked the Secretary of State for Air what arrangements are being made to ensure that wives who were shortly to leave for Miho, Iwakune and Tokyo to join their husbands, will be given first priority to join their husbands at any other station to which they may be posted outside Great Britain on their withdrawal from Japan.

Mr. A. Henderson

Only one officer and one airman, to whose families the hon. Member's Question refers, are being posted to other overseas commands. Married quarters will be offered them as soon as possible, but, in fairness to men already in these commands who are anxious to be joined by their families, I am afraid that they cannot be given special priority.
