HC Deb 02 February 1948 vol 446 c215W
57. Mr. Wadsworth

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he is aware that farmers in the East Riding of Yorkshire are still seriously held up at this present moment for delivery of ploughshares; and will he take steps still further to increase the production of this essential equipment.

Mr. T. Williams

Production of plough shares is increasing steadily, and the manufacturers have assured me that available supplies are distributed as evenly as possible. If the hon. Member will let me have particulars of farmers in the East Riding who are held up for want of shares, I will see what can be done to assist them.
