HC Deb 02 February 1948 vol 446 c225W
76. Mr. R. A. Butler

asked the Minister of Works whether progress has been made in erecting a temporary office block in Waterhouse Lane, Chelmsford, in order to accelerate the process of freeing the Essex Institute of Agriculture at Writtle for the purpose for which it was originally built.

Mr. Key

Yes. Reasonably good progress is being made with the building. I am aware of the need for freeing the Essex Institute of Agriculture at Writtle quickly and all possible steps are being taken to this end.
