asked the Minister of Health (1) how many houses have been completed in Wales by local authorities and how many by private builders in each of the years 1919, 1920 and 1921; and what are the corresponding figures for 1946, 1947 and 1948;

(2) how many houses were completed in Newport by the borough council and how many by private builders in each of the years 1919, 1920 and 1921; and what are the corresponding figures for 1946, 1947 and 1948.

66. Mr. Carmichael

asked the Minister of Health the number of houses built since 1945 up to and including 30th September, 1948, in Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield, respectively; and the percentage in each case against the claims to be met by each authority.
