§ 77. Mr. Draysonasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will give an assurance that in exercising the powers granted to him under Regulation 8 of the Defence (Trading with the Enemy) Regulations, any information supplied to him on Form ABX, or in any other way connected with these regulations will be treated as confidential, and not divulged to any foreign Government or individual without the beneficial owner's consent.
§ Mr. BottomleyDeclaration ABX is furnished to the United Kingdom bankers and not the Board of Trade. The first part of the Question therefore does not arise. Information which is disclosed to the Board of Trade under Regulation 8 will, so far as possible, be treated as confidential, though I cannot give a categorical assurance that in no case will the information be divulged.
